About the Firm

legal staff and attorneysBurnett & Williams was founded in 1988, a time of great change in personal injury and insurance law.  Legal and social trends made it increasingly difficult for victims of negligence to get fair compensation for their injuries.  Peter Burnett had a successful general law practice, which included notable successes in personal injury cases, but he decided that he could do a better job for his injured clients by focusing all of his effort on becoming a personal injury and insurance law expert.  He made a bold decision to end his solo practice and Burnett & Williams was formed as the only firm in Loudoun County to focus entirely on personal injury law.

With more than two decades of personal injury specialization, Burnett & Williams has achieved notable verdicts, settlements, and appellate results in cases arising from wrongful deaths, medical malpractice, tractor trailer accidents, traumatic brain injuries, defective products, serious orthopedic injuries, and other significant injuries.  The keys to our success have been the personal attention we give our clients and the expertise gained through specialization.

Burnett & Williams has grown in recent years, with the addition of offices in Hopewell, Midlothian and Winchester, but our approach remains the same – give each client the best individualized representation.
